UK’s Accessibility Rules Miss the Mark

According to ZDNet’s Matt Loney, while it’s a step forward for disabled access to the Internet, there is too much lacking in the UK’s new Code of Practice. The new Code doesn’t specificy how a Web site should be made accessible, not even mentioning the W3C’s Accessibility Guidelines, for example. While the W3C’s Guidelines are recommendations and not legal standards, it’s still curious to me that their new laws don’t include them even as a reference base.
